The electronic cigarette emerged as an alternative to tobacco as a result of the control strategies developed by governments in recent years. It has been sold as an innocuous and safe option, which has caused the number of consumers and sales to multiply day by day worldwide. This increase has been perceived above all among young people and adolescents, and its consumption has become a gateway to nicotine addiction. But there is growing evidence that these devices are not as safe or harmless as they are. There is only limited information available on CBD vape oil boxes that are bought for these e-cigarettes. Different studies tell us about the damage that vaping can cause to health. We explain it here.

What is an E-Cigarette?

An electronic cigarette is a device in the form of a cigarette that is powered by a battery. It has a reservoir that is filled with a liquid that, when heated, releases “vapor”. This vapor can be inhaled by the person using it.

What Are The Components of The Liquid?

The liquid has as components, among others, propylene glycol, vegetable glycerin, flavorings, and nicotine, which can be present in a concentration of 36ml. And while there is still no long-term evidence on the effects of e-cigarette use, the studies conducted so far reflect these questions:

The propylene glycol and the vegetable glycerin, essential components of the liquid electronic cigarette, are substances that are considered safe when ingested. The problem arises when they are heated and inhaled since everything seems to indicate that they can produce alterations in health.

Most of the e-cigarettes contain CBD oil that is easily available in the market in CBD vape oil boxes. The vapor emitted by e-cigarettes is loaded with chemicals similar to those found in conventional cigarettes. These substances, although present in lesser amounts, can also pose a health risk. In addition to these, there are other substances classified as carcinogens, such as nickel, in greater quantities.

The included nicotine increases the rate at which the heart beats and the levels of cotinine in the blood. During the handling of the cartridge, nicotine can be ingested orally and cause poisoning, which will be especially serious in children. For this reason, it is essential to leave electronic cigarettes out of the reach of the little ones.

To date, the data indicates that the consumption of electronic cigarettes:

  • It is associated with the appearance of heart disease and atherosclerosis.
  • It may have less carcinogenic effects than conventional cigarettes, due to the lower number and quantity of potentially carcinogenic substances, but it has not been proven yet.
  • At the pulmonary level, it causes irritation of the throat and airways, in addition to their closure, although to a lesser extent than that caused by conventional cigarettes. It does cause a worsening of existing lung diseases and there are even studies that suggest that it causes asthma in children subjected to this vapor.
  • The risk of pneumococcal infection increases.

But is it an Effective Way to Quit Smoking?

Studies carried out so far do not clarify whether using e-cigarettes is an effective way to quit smoking. The difficulty presented in breaking the physical addiction seems to indicate that physical abstinence will be reduced, while smoking cessation will be limited. Many consumers chronic its use or combine it with the traditional cigarette. There is data that says that 65% of people who use electronic cigarettes to quit smoking end up becoming dual smokers. Lucky Seven CBD also mentions its benefits. All of this hinders voluntary access to conventional treatments and increases a false sense of security that they suffer less harm from smoking fewer conventional cigarettes.
